Seventeen Year Friends

Have you ever thought back to when a friendship began?  Or how your life has changed over the years and yet there are people in your life that have grown with you, shaped you, and supported you?  I have some wonderful women in my life that have done just that, and I wanted to take the time to point out one of them, as she and her family have a big goal that they are trying to reach.

Allow me to introduce Lindsy.  We are almost nearly birthday twins, but not really. We sang together in college (where she met her awesome husband, Jordan), and – if my memory serves me correctly – we began our friendship with flutes in hand around seventeen years ago.  Yep, our friendship is not only old enough to drive, but will be ready to vote next year!  We’ve traveled through a lot of things – middle school, up through college, marriage, motherhood, mothers-of-two, and all along she has had an incredible, faith-filled heart.  She and her husband have two boys, and are in the process of adopting a little girl from China.

So, friends, I’m asking for your help.  On Friday, November 28, the Griffis Family is hosting an Online Fundraising Auction to help them get their baby girl home.  Whether you are bidding on items, want to donate directly, or can send up prayers for their adoption process, anything and everything will help!
